Tulbrain is a tool for unconscious learning. Most learning tools fight the brain: they ask you to memorize, translate and force things into place, and then wonder why none of it sticks. We build on the mechanism that already worked. You learned your first language perfectly, through exposure and context, without a single vocabulary list. The brain did not change. The method did.

MindGym and Speed Reading are training for memory, attention and reading speed. Learn to Learn is the method itself. Languages, Typing and Public Speaking are where you apply it. The foundation modules sharpen the applied ones.

How it works

Every word arrives as an image and a sound — that pairing is the anchor, and the anchor is what you are actually building. Your own language is in there too: under the word when you first meet it, on the back of a card, as the prompt or the hint. It checks you. It is not what you build on. And in the listening drills there is not one word of it on screen. That distinction is the whole point — translation as the route, going through your first language to reach your second, is what makes you freeze mid-sentence. Translation as a check costs you nothing.

Where the work is: Pronunciation, reading and writing take deliberate work. Six languages — English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian and French — every level from A0 to C2.

Typing

Nobody learns to type anymore

How it works

Not because they do not need it — everybody needs it — but because the way it is taught is boring, and at the start your fingers genuinely hurt. Two problems. One is solvable, and that is what games are for: you will do a hundred repetitions in a game and quit at ten in a drill. The other is not, and we say so. Typing is the interface between you and every machine you own, and it is not going anywhere for years.

Where the work is: Your fingers, at the start. Words per minute is objective and it moves fast, so you get to watch your own curve.

You train your body. This is the other one.

How it works

Memory, attention and focus, trained directly. Every other skill on this page runs on them, which is why this module sits underneath the rest. The gym metaphor is deliberate: a gym implies routine, progression, and effort that compounds.

Where the work is: The reps, like any gym. Nobody expects the gym to be painless.

More input, same hours

How it works

Reading faster is not a party trick. It is more input in the same hours — and input is what the whole method runs on. The training is a tachistoscope: words presented at controlled intervals, increasing in length, with a protocol that adapts to your actual performance rather than a fixed schedule.

Where the work is: You have to read. A lot. Consistently.

Public Speaking

The skill that changes how much of everything else you get to use

How it works

The reason people freeze speaking a foreign language and the reason they freeze in front of a room are closely related: it is not lack of knowledge, it is fear of being wrong in public. Which is why play matters more here than most people think — a game is a place where being wrong costs nothing.

Where the work is: You have to actually stand up and do it. No tool removes that.

The other five teach you a skill. This one teaches you how to acquire any skill.

How it works

It ships last and it is the reason the platform exists — the other five are demonstrations of the method. You supply the material: a topic, a syllabus, something you need to master. The module gives you the method to retain it and apply it.

Where the work is: Applying it to material you actually care about.

Why this exists

Learn to Learn ships last — and it comes first in the story. It is the reason the platform exists: a method for acquiring any subject you bring to it, and the other five modules are demonstrations of that method working. The other five teach you a skill. This one teaches you how to acquire any skill.

80% should feel like nothing

The other 20% is work, and pretending otherwise is a lie. Every competitor promises painless; you have tried painless and you know it did not work. Each module below tells you exactly where its hard part is.

Play is not the reward for learning — it is how learning happens, and it is what makes the other 80% painless.

How AI fits

Most AI in education does the work for you. It translates, summarizes, answers, writes the essay — the output appears and your brain is exactly where it was. Tulbrain is built for the opposite: AI as a training partner, not a substitute. A spotter at the gym does not lift the weight for you; that is the whole point of a spotter.

It is core to what we are building and work is already underway, starting with a conversational chat. We build each integration onto a path that already works, and only where we can say what it is doing — we will not put a system whose reasoning cannot be explained in front of someone who is learning. It is not a live feature inside the modules yet, and we do not list it as one until it is.

Where we are

We started in October 2020 and we are building Tulbrain one module at a time. Languages is ready — six languages, A0 to C2. MindGym and Speed Reading follow, then Typing, then Public Speaking, then Learn to Learn. We would rather ship one module that works than six that do not.

One more thing worth saying plainly: if you knew this project as NetMindGym (or Netmindgym-Tulbrain), this is it. We retired that name in 2026 so the product could carry one brand — Tulbrain. Same project, same method, one name.
